CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS EXPERIENCE THE THRILL OF HORSEBACK RIDING

Van Metropolitan Municipality made the dream of horseback riding come true for children with special needs. The event, which featured colorful scenes, saw some children experiencing the thrill of riding a horse for the first time, while others didn't want to get off.
The Metropolitan Municipality's Department for the Disabled and Elderly continues to touch the lives of disabled children and their families in the city. Teams organizing numerous activities for special children and their families made history by fulfilling the children's dreams of horseback riding.
Children with disabilities and their families were brought to the Van Equestrian Sports Club farm on Terzioğlu Street in the İpekyolu district via free shuttle services provided by the Metropolitan Municipality. Here, they enjoyed a pleasant time and experienced the thrill of horseback riding.
THE CHILDREN’S HAPPINESS WAS EVIDENT IN THEIR EYES
The happiness of the children riding horses one by one was evident in their eyes, and the children with special needs, expressing their joy at the event, thanked the Metropolitan Municipality.
“MY DAUGHTER RODE A HORSEFOR THE FIRST TIME”
Pınar Ekinci, who said they found the event very meaningful, said, "I have a daughter with autism. We came to the event organized by the Metropolitan Municipality today. Thanks to this, my daughter rode a horse for the first time. She loved it. She was very happy. We are very grateful to our municipality. We want these kinds of events to continue."
“IT MAKES US HAPPY THAT THINK OF US”
Mother Gülşah Mercanoğlu, who attended the event with her son, stated that the event was very important for them, saying, "I came with my son Ali İmran. It was a wonderful event. We were very pleased. We would like to thank our Governor, the Metropolitan Municipality, and everyone who contributed to the event. It makes us happy that they thought of us. Thank you."
"CHILDREN'S DREAMS WERE TOUCHED"
Veli İpek, a physiotherapist at the Rehabilitation Center, said that these types of events touch children's dreams, adding:
"They created this opportunity for people with disabilities to ride horses.
This made both the children and our families very happy. We would like to thank everyone, especially the Directorate of Disability Services and its staff.
The event concluded with treats for the children and their families and plenty of souvenir photos taken.
