Fighting against urban pests that threaten the environment
and human health, the Metropolitan Municipality continues its spraying
activities without slowing down.
Every day of the week in the early hours of the morning, the
teams departing from the Department of Health Affairs Vector Control Drug
Application Center carry out detailed spraying activities in order to protect
public health and prevent vector-borne diseases in the regions determined by
daily planning.
With 22 vehicles and 56 personnel, the teams meticulously
continue their work in areas such as coastal roads, coastal bands, picnic
areas, parks, playgrounds, reeds, ponds and swamps where urban pests nest, and
carry out an effective fight against mosquitoes, houseflies and other
disease-spreading vectors.
The teams, which control larvae and adult vector populations through spraying, will continue their work meticulously throughout the year so that citizens can live in a healthier and safer environment.
