ELDERLY PEOPLE IN VAN ENJOYED AN EVENT WITH THE FLAVOR OF A SIRA NIGHT (Traditional Music Night)

Van Metropolitan Municipality organized another special event to strengthen the social ties of elderly individuals and ensure they had an enjoyable and meaningful day.
The event, filled with music, conversation, and refreshments, provided the elderly with both emotional and joyful moments.
Van Metropolitan Municipality's cultural and social events continue. The social activities organized by the Department of Services for the Disabled and Elderly are receiving high praise from citizens.
Most recently, a musical event reminiscent of a traditional Turkish night was held in the Has Room at the Hacıbekir Cultural Center, known for its authentic atmosphere, for elderly individuals.
As part of the organized program, elderly individuals were picked up from their homes via free shuttle services and welcomed warmly before being served raw meatballs and ayran.
Participants enjoyed chatting in a friendly atmosphere.
Later in the program, the Conservatory of the Department of Culture and Social Affairs took the stage. The event, featuring dengbêj odes, Turkish folk music melodies, and long Kurdish songs, was enlivened by cheerful songs accompanied by instruments, which were met with great appreciation. Guests enjoyed themselves, occasionally joining in with the songs.
The elderly citizens expressed their appreciation for the attention they received, saying, "Getting together at such wonderful events is very valuable to us. We had an unforgettable day."
It was also noted that Van Metropolitan Municipality will continue its efforts to improve the quality of life for elderly individuals, encourage their active participation in social life, and reduce feelings of loneliness, alongside its social projects that cater to all segments of society.
