LITTLE STUDENTS VISITED THEIR FURRY FRIENDS

Van Metropolitan Municipality organised a series of events at the Animal Care and Rehabilitation Centre as part of World Animal Protection Day on 4 October.
During the programme held at the facility, one of Turkey's leading care and rehabilitation centres, students were taught about animal rights and the importance of loving animals.
As part of the event, primary school pupils from different schools in the city toured the rehabilitation centre and learned about the work carried out at the shelter.
Veterinarians working under the Directorate of Veterinary Affairs and animal lovers participated in the programme, which informed children about the protection, care and rights of animals.
The young students asked the veterinary surgeons questions about animals and learned about topics they were curious about.
The students then visited the stray animals at the shelter and took a particular interest in the cats and dogs.
The event concluded with the students' visits to the centre and the presentation of gifts.
