METROPOLITAN MUNICIPALITY CARRIES OUT ROAD WIDENING AND SIDEWALK WORKS IN AKKÖPRÜ PARK

Van Metropolitan Municipality continues its efforts to ensure citizens benefit from safe and comfortable transportation services. While teams carry out road construction, maintenance, and repair activities, they also conduct intensive work on sidewalks. 

Van Metropolitan Municipality has accelerated its work throughout the city. 

Along with road construction work on main arteries, Metropolitan Municipality teams are widening roads and renovating sidewalks along approximately 2 kilometers of Akköprü Park. Municipal teams are removing existing worn sidewalks and replacing them with durable and aesthetic paving stones. 

The work in the area is improving both pedestrian safety and the appearance of the park.

Citizens stated that once the sidewalk renovation work is completed, they will have a comfortable and convenient transportation area, and they thanked the Van Metropolitan Municipality for the work.

Municipal officials stated that the work will be completed as soon as possible, giving the roads a more modern, safe, and comfortable appearance.
