THE LAST STAGE OF THE COASTAL ROAD HAS BEGUN

The last phase of the Lake Van Coastal Road Project, one of the prestige projects of the Van Metropolitan Municipality, has begun.
While the asphalt paving of the third stage is coming to an end, filling and regrading works are being carried out in the last stage, starting from the Van Advanced Biological Wastewater Treatment Plant and extending to Van Yüzüncü Yıl University.
Work has also started on the last stage of the 10-kilometer Van Lake Coastal Road, one of the mega projects of the Metropolitan Municipality, the first two stages of which were completed last year.
In this stage, the existing coastal road, which was previously built by Tuşba Municipality, is being expanded to 20 meters and four lanes. Lighting and superstructure works will also be carried out on the road.
WORK INTENSIFIED ON THE LAST 6-KILOMETER STAGE
Dozens of construction equipment and personnel are working in the works carried out by the Road Construction, Maintenance and Repair Department. While the teams continue asphalt laying on the 2-kilometer third stage, the teams are also working hard on the fourth and final stage, the 6-kilometer road between the Wastewater Treatment Plant and Van Yüzüncü Yıl University.
18 KM COASTAL ROAD WILL RELIEVE CITY TRAFFIC
The Lake Van Coastal Road, which will reach a total length of 18 kilometers with the completion of this road, will bring three central districts together with the coast.
The road, which starts near the Application Hotel in Edremit district, will extend to Van Yüzüncü Yıl University.
In addition, with the completion of the project, there will be a significant relief in the city traffic and citizens will be able to benefit more from the unique nature of Lake Van.
THE PROJECT BRINGS A NEW LIVING SPACE AND ATTRACTION CENTER TO THE CITY
In the 8-kilometer third and fourth stages of the project, roads, central refuges, pavements, sidewalks, lighting, walking and bicycle paths, landscaping arrangements, children's playgrounds, social facilities and large recreation areas will be built together with the coastal road, making the coasts especially within the borders of İpekyolu and Tuşba districts more useful.
