THE METROPOLITAN MUNICIPALITY DID NOT FORGET WORLD SENIOR CITIZENS DAY

Van Metropolitan Municipality organized a special event on
October 1, World Senior Citizens Day, taking senior citizens to Toprakkale
Viewing Hill.
The seniors enjoyed the scenery and fresh air in Toprakkale,
surrounded by natural beauty.
Van Metropolitan Municipality continues its social and
cultural events.
Van Metropolitan Municipality, which touches people and life
with its social events organized for all citizens from 7 to 70, recently raised
awareness on October 1, World Senior Citizens Day.
In the morning, elderly individuals were picked up from
their homes by free shuttle services provided by the Department of Services for
the Disabled and Elderly and brought to the Toprakkale Viewing Terrace in the
Tuşba district. Here, the elderly individuals spent time surrounded by nature,
enjoyed the unique view, and gazed at the beauty of the city from above for a
long time.
Expressing that the clean air was good for them, Mustafa
Yalnızkurt said, "The weather is nice, we are happy. May God be pleased. I
thank everyone who contributed."
Şaban Şabanoğlu, who said they visited many tourist
attractions, said, "We went to activities every other day. We visited
everywhere.
These kinds of trips really lift our spirits. May God bless
those who worked hard."
The event ended with various treats being offered to the participants and souvenir photos being taken.
