VAN METROPOLITAN MUNICIPALITY CONSERVATORY ESTABLISHES WOMEN'S CHOIR

Van Metropolitan Municipality is adding another initiative to its cultural and artistic endeavors.

Operating under the vision of "The City's Artistic Light," the Van Metropolitan Municipality Conservatory is establishing the Van Women's Choir to encourage women's active participation in artistic production.

The Van Women's Choir, which will enable women to express their voices, words, and feelings through art, will be formed with the participation of housewives and working women.

Women joining the choir will receive professional music training under the guidance of expert instructors working at the Van Metropolitan Municipality Conservatory and will contribute to Van's artistic life by performing in concerts and events.

Established in 2023 under the instructions of Van Governor and Van Metropolitan Municipality Acting Mayor Ozan Balcı, the Van Metropolitan Municipality Conservatory continues to expand and diversify its educational activities in the fields of music, painting, folk dances, and theater.

Opening its doors in February 2024, the conservatory aims to make a difference with the Van Women's Choir project, which will allow women to connect with art in a more powerful way, following the children's choir.

Applications for the newly established women's choir will begin on Friday, October 3, and can be made in person at the Van Metropolitan Municipality Conservatory – Hacıbekir Cultural Center until October 15, 2025.

All women aged 20 and over can apply for this free program without any music education requirements.
