VAN METROPOLITAN MUNICIPALITY IS FORMING A FOLK DANCE TEAM

Van Metropolitan Municipality Conservatory is establishing a Folk Dance Team for adults with the aim of preserving Van's folk dance heritage and passing on the unique rhythm and aesthetics of folk dances to future generations.
Van Metropolitan Municipality continues to add value to the city's cultural and artistic life.
The Metropolitan Municipality Conservatory, which brings art to all corners of Van through education and events, is organizing a Folk Dance Course for adults within the Conservatory.
Participants in the team will learn both the rich dance culture of the Van region and folk dances from different regions of Anatolia under the guidance of professional instructors. Upon completion of the training, team members will have the opportunity to perform at events organized by Van Metropolitan Municipality, as well as at national and international festivals.
The course, which aims to preserve cultural diversity in the city, increase artistic production, and pass on traditional values to future generations, will be open to all adults interested in folk dances. The course, which aims to revive Van's rich folklore heritage, aims to help participants acquire artistic discipline and strengthen their social and cultural ties.
All art lovers aged 18 and over who wish to apply for the course; those interested in folk dances, music, and performing arts, as well as those who can regularly attend rehearsals and events, are eligible to apply. No dance experience is required; enthusiasm is sufficient for participation in the course.
Applications will begin on November 19, 2025, and end on December 1, 2025.
