VAN METROPOLITAN MUNICIPALITY LAUNCHES ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY CLEANING INITIATIVE

Van Metropolitan Municipality has introduced an environmentally friendly and innovative approach to cleaning services by starting to use electric Elephant-type vacuum cleaners in the city center.
The Metropolitan Municipality continues its cleaning efforts for a cleaner and healthier city. Enhancing its cleaning operations with environmentally friendly solutions, the Metropolitan Municipality's Environmental Protection and Control Department has introduced five locally produced, fully electric Elephant -type vacuum cleaners into service.
Starting their first shift on Cumhuriyet Avenue, the sweepers work effectively on the sidewalks of the main arteries in the city center, making the cleaning staff's job easier.
Thanks to their quiet operation, these vacuum cleaners do not disturb the environment and can quickly clean up small debris such as cigarette butts and leaves.

With these vehicles, our city will have a cleaner appearance. Our vehicles are locally produced and electric. We are working for a clean Van."
Mehmet Şerif Bakış, a taxi driver in the city, noted that the Metropolitan Municipality has done a very good job during this period, saying, "Our citizens throw trash and cigarette butts without paying attention to sidewalk cleanliness.
I just looked at the sweeper cleaning the sidewalks; it does a perfect job. With this sweeper, our sidewalks are more beautiful and cleaner. I thank you for this work."
