VAN METROPOLITAN MUNICIPALITY'S SUMMER CONCERTS BROUGHT TOGETHER THOUSANDS OF ART LOVERS
The free summer concerts organized by the Van Metropolitan Municipality Conservatory provided art lovers in the city center and districts with an unforgettable summer experience.
The summer concerts organized by the Conservatory group, which is part of the Van Metropolitan Municipality's Department of Culture and Social Affairs, transformed the city into an open-air festival this year. The concerts, held in the city center and districts, brought thousands of people together with works from different genres of music.
Under the direction of Conductor Kadir Kartal, concerts were held in Kocaeli and Yaşar Kemal parks, nursing homes, children's homes, and many other locations in other districts, while vocal instructors Elif Abalı, Sıla Ergör, and many others took the stage, providing listeners with unforgettable moments.
Van Folk Songs and many special performances were among the most popular events this summer.
Summer Concerts Give Way to School Concerts
On warm summer evenings, families, young people, and music lovers gathered together to enjoy beautiful pieces performed at concerts, creating nights reminiscent of open-air festivals.
The intense interest in the concerts once again demonstrated the value that Van Metropolitan Municipality places on art and culture. With the start of the 2025-2026 academic year, the conservatory group is replacing summer concerts with school concert events.
Students will be able to enjoy music to their hearts' content at events held at regular intervals in the city center and districts.
