VAN MUNICIPAL POLICE TEAMS COLLECTED PRODUCTS LEFT ON SIDEWALKS

Van Metropolitan Municipality conducted inspections at many different points to prevent the occupation of public areas in the city center.
During inspections targeting businesses occupying sidewalks, numerous products left on sidewalks and roadside areas were confiscated.
The inspections, jointly carried out by the Municipal Police Department and the İpekyolu Municipality Municipal Police Directorate teams, took place on Cumhuriyet and Suvaroğlu streets and in the Ahmedi Hani Park area, accompanied by teams from the Provincial Security Directorate.
Acting on numerous complaints from citizens, the municipal police teams first verbally warned businesses that had been warned previously, then informed them with written notices.
However, businesses that failed to comply with the rules despite the warnings were intervened upon.
During the inspections, products occupying the streets and sidewalks were collected, and penalties were imposed on some businesses.
The inspections were also supported by citizens.
The authorities reminded that sidewalks are reserved for pedestrians and emphasized that occupying these areas would not be tolerated under any circumstances.
Van Metropolitan Municipality announced that it will continue to carry out similar inspections with determination in order to protect the city's aesthetics and public order.
