The Transportation Department's cleaning teams, which wash approximately 200 buses daily with a 20-person crew and prepare them for the next day, also conduct meticulous cleaning inside the buses frequently used by citizens, taking infectious diseases into consideration.
With the cleaning work carried out, buses are being made available to citizens in a cleaner and more hygienic manner.
Adem Gencer, the operations manager, stated that cleaning is done daily and weekly, saying, "After completing their daily routes, our buses are thoroughly cleaned every night and prepared for the next day.
After the buses are cleaned of coarse dirt by cleaning teams using vacuum cleaners, the passenger seats, windows, window edges, and passenger handrails are cleaned with great care."
Citizens are also satisfied with the cleaning
Bus driver Ömer Yurtbay, who stated that they provide service to passengers in clean and hygienic conditions, said he was happy with the positive feedback from citizens.
