WORK CONTINUES ON THE SECOND STAGE OF THE COASTAL ROAD

Van Metropolitan Municipality continues to work on the
3-kilometer second stage of the 10-kilometer Coastal Road, the first stage of
which was completed last year.
The work carried out with the municipality's administrative
workforce and resources continues rapidly.
While the 10-kilometer Van Lake Coastal Road, one of the
mega projects of the Metropolitan Municipality and the first phase of which was
completed last year, and the recreation area of 1,100 decares have been
completed, a feverish work is being carried out in the 3-kilometer second
phase, which was started at the beginning of the season.
Starting at İskele Neighborhood 15 July Martyrs Park and
continuing to İpekyolu Street next to Van Advanced Biological Wastewater
Treatment Plant, 3 kilometers of land is being cleared, backfilled, leveling,
infrastructure, superstructure and drainage line works are being carried out.
Hot asphalt will be applied after these works.
NEW COASTAL ROAD WILL GIVE
NEW LIFE INTO THE CITY TRAFFIC
With the completion of the works carried out by the Road
Construction, Maintenance and Repair Department, recreation work is planned for
the area after the July 15 Martyrs Park, which is located in the last stage of
the Coastal Road, which will relieve the city traffic. The Coastal Road, which
is realized with the understanding of ecological municipalism and is the
necklace of Lake Van, is planned to be completed by the end of the season.
The second phase of the project, which brings the people of Van together with the unique nature of Lake Van and adds value to the city, includes a 3-kilometer coastal road, walking paths, children's playgrounds, social facilities and recreation areas.
