'ZERO WASTE AND CLIMATE CHANGE' TRAINING FROM VAN METROPOLITAN MUNICIPALITY TO SCHOOLS

Van Metropolitan Municipality has started trainings on 'Zero
Waste, Energy Saving and Climate Change' in schools across the city in order to
raise children's environmental awareness and create awareness for a sustainable
future.
In the trainings
given by Van Metropolitan Municipality Climate Change and Zero Waste
Department, important issues such as separating waste at source, supporting the
zero waste movement and the negative effects of climate change were explained
to the students.
After the theoretical training given by Environmental
Engineers, students were also provided with practical activities to reinforce
zero waste awareness.
Following the trainings aiming to raise environmentally
conscious and environmentally conscious individuals, students were presented
with dry paint and coloring books made from recycled waste materials.
It was noted that the trainings, which aim to create a
sustainable environmental awareness, will continue throughout the year
throughout the city.
